So much of what is happening around the world has to do with enormous planetary changes that affect us here on earth. It seems hard to believe but all of us are under the spell of the grand transitions that take place in the heavens. Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg was born January 19, 1982. This gives him the entry to this world as a Capricorn with a Life Path of the number 4. The worker, the producer and guy you want to hire as he will get the job done. Well, at least, he’ll give it all his has to produce measurable results. Believe it or not, four’s are very traditional. Notice how he is steady, almost unflappable and able to climb the sides of the mountain just as the Capricorn mountain goat. Tenacity. Many of you ask me about all these democratic candidates. Most will fade from view but a few who will be the semi-final contenders. Among these will be Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg. This week I am featuring Kamala Harris. These are really unusual candidates. Female and black and the youngest candidate to run for President and gay. Interesting duo and a sign of our times. I look at the headlines, I hear the chatter and the noise. Today it is a certain threat, tomorrow it’s another. We gather under the tree of disruption, uncertainty, exhaustion and fear. Some of us are angry, some resentful, some are sad, mad and tired. Our leaders are corrupted and we are fearful that our democracy will be eroded and permanently damaged by their long-lived deeds of corruption. We want it to improve yet we choose people to lead us who lack greatness and wisdom. We settle for promises and stay anxious, worried and fearful. It is almost like ground hog day. It just repeats and repeats and we wonder why it has become so polarized. I include some of the thoughts of Wallace Wattles the great philosopher from the early 20th century who wrote deeply on greatness.

This hardly takes a thought to picture this event in your mind. It might be daring but you can be sure it would be foolhardy. If a storm is coming and we live near a bayou, we might want to get a large delivery of sandbags versus a smaller delivery. If you have a chronic illness that requires routine medical attention, you might not want to locate yourself too far out in the country where only visiting nurses can assist you. Life does give us opportunities and it is up to us to reasonably assess them and see if they are wise or foolish.

Years ago I read a very important book by Michio Kushi titled “The Book of Macrobiotics–The Universal Way of Health, Happiness and Peace”. I thought it would be a book on eating a Macrobiotic diet but it was so much more. I highly recommend this book for its great wisdom and unknown information on how the body and environment work. I turn to this book to remind myself of how disease begins.

Just as 2 tectonic plates rub up against each other, two ages are pushes against each other. One of these is the future force and the other the past. One of the plates is the old Piscean Age that is passing and the other the Aquarian Age that is coming into the present and will stay with us for 2,000 years. The old force, the Piscean Age, is struggling to stay alive but its’ struggle is creating the big shift to the new Aquarian Age. Along with this old Piscean Age goes the characteristics of this age. It has served its purpose and helped us along for about 2,000 years. Many years ago when I was around 20 or so I remember reading the National Geographic magazine. It was special back then and had great photos from around the world. There was a story about a woman gathering rice in a rice paddy of Southeast Asia. I remember the journalist asking this woman if she was happy. Now the woman lived in a native hut made from local trees. Her life had no running water or any of the conveniences we take for granted. The journalist noted the puzzled look on her face when he asked her this question. She answered that being happy was something that happened between the time you were born and the time you died. Did you know that the greatest gift given to you here on earth was the gift of life? Life itself was always the present. The rest of the experience here is what you choose to do with it. You can abuse it, waste it, invest it, love it, cherish it, be fascinated by it, indulge it, curse it or just wait it out until you can get out of it. Whatever you choose, it will be yours to do. The two main lessons we are to learn here on the earth plain are “freewill choice and emotional energy”. Everything we do here is instructing us that we have free will even if imprisoned. Our mind is the guidance system for it all. What a trip! This is where we make up karma–in the mind. The second lesson of working with emotional energy gives us the opportunity to experience all the emotions of this place, the sad, the happy, the discouraged, the despair, the elation, the fear and the fury.

What does a Universal Year mean? It is simply the current year, 2019, reduced to the single digit by adding the numbers together. We are, therefore, in a number 3 universal year. Goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019. I do hope you have created some goals or plans for yourself. Nothing that is too hard or ridiculous to achieve. It can be helpful to write out a plan for the next 90 days. Things work naturally in 3’s.
