I was recently asked this question by my doctor–of all people? Who asks that type of question? I have heard the question “do you deserve to live” but never do you have the right to live. It defintely took me by surprise. As is all things of life, we must take into consideration the context in which it was asked. In this case, my doctor always is concerned about your emotional and mental well-being as he is in your physicial well-being. He knows that you won’t have good physical well-being unless you have the other two. He was asking me about my stress level. He then goes on about how stress will kill you. He’s very blunt! He then goes on about how are you sleeping, are you eating etc. It’s all very direct and no nonsense.

Every once in awhile I believe it is healthy to return to the basics of life. We are so wrapped up in “out there” and the requirements of daily living that we forget our own true selves. We live as if we are on the freeways of life, dodging and passing and trying to keep up or slow down with traffic. We become frustrated when someone doesn’t respect our space in the lane or is careless and puts us at risk. Life can be like that, a series of offensive and defensive moves. We run ourselves ragged trying to get up onto the onramp.

In approaching the 21st century and the beginning of the 1,000 year stretch of the influence of the number 2 (the years 2000 to 2999) women have become more visible and more vocal. Considering American women got the right to vote in 1920, it is almost 100 years of pushing, shoving and expecting things to become more equal in the rights and treatment of women. I remember marching with several high powered women back in the 70’s. Those were the days of bra burning and other representations of female “freedom”. That was also over 40 years ago. Things have improved but one pattern remains,

Is it me, my age, my ears? I am not sure if it’s not all of them. Is our society just more edgy, more loud, more rude, more of everything? I still think we crave time to process what we have created and quietude to calm ourselves. I was at, of all things, a flea market. I haven’t been to one in years. I was told a certain artist would be there so off I went to meet her. It was fun and I like all the people milling around selling and buying. I went to a stand to buy one of the fresh juice drinks. I had fresh watermelon. It was great. There was a very loud band playing and I sort of took it in stride but it was right by the juice merchant who had to listen to it all day. He said they just get louder and it was his feeling that they weren’t that good but they would play louder so as to get the attention. He then said that was what he noticed about different bands, they would play even louder when they weren’t good.

Chelsea Victoria Clinton, born February 27, 1980 is our second post on the powerful daughters of our Presidential candidates Donald and Hillary. Chelsea is definitely her parents’ child. She has the same life path (the number 11) as her father and the same destiny (the number 3) as her mother’s life path. All her numbers point to inspiration, the gift of the word and the soul and personality of the server. I would wager money that this women will be a political figure or an important public figure. She was groomed for fame and has the same life path as Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan, John McCain etc. Her greater work will not begin until she gets in her mid 40’s and most likely 50.

We have two millennials waiting and preparing for their power years ahead–Chelsea Victoria Clinton and Ivanka Marie Trump. Both of these young women are definitely being groomed for leadership. They have fascinating birth charts and I have no doubt you will see both of them either in office or as influential leaders. They come from, however, very different perspectives in how they would lead and affect the masses.

It has been brought to my attention that as we become more enlightened, more aware, more experienced, we are seeking answers to some of the most important questions of life. One of these topics is the dying process. I received many replies both via emails and on the post itself when I wrote recently about “Death Rides On Your Shoulder) (July 6th). Thanks to you, my dear readers, I received information about a group called “Death Cafe”. At first I thought it was a coffee shop in LA. Perhaps connected to the Mexican tradition celebrated on the Day of the Dead. But it wasn’t. It is actually an

I receive many emails and comments about my blog. With the political conditions and the polarization going on in America, actually the world, we seem to forget our humanity and our own fragility. The anger and nastiness gets the headlines as does the negative news. “Dirty laundry” sells. People read hidden messages in neutral messages. People need to be right. There is a righteous indignation movement. Those who feel powerless exercise bizarre psuedo forms of power. It’s all enough to send you to the couch with smelling salts. The old days are never coming back nor is my smooth skin of my youth. Time has moved on, people have moved on and time waits for nobody. We either change or be changed. Right now many people

There is much that has been forgotten about the birth of this special and great nation called the United States of America. As we look at today’s political arena with the questionable candidates, we wonder how and why we have stayed so far away from the original principles and intentions of its birth. Who among these candidates including Federal, State and local would pledge their lives and fortunes for the good of the nation. One way to clean up politics would be the necessity to sign a pledge similar to what the founders signed. When they signed, they knew death by hanging was a distinct possibility if the cause was lost.

Hillary has been in preparatory years for some time now. It’s almost like watching a child grow up. From her photos with thick glasses to her early years as first lady with hair-band hairdo’s, she has been a part of the American psyche for quite awhile. Her moment of leadership is now. She has been groomed for years. Any woman in a rising power position, unless she is Mother Theresa, will create controversy. She represents the rising power of the female in our society and that is scary to many people. Who is she and why now?
