This hardly takes a thought to picture this event in your mind. It might be daring but you can be sure it would be foolhardy. If a storm is coming and we live near a bayou, we might want to get a large delivery of sandbags versus a smaller delivery. If you have a chronic illness that requires routine medical attention, you might not want to locate yourself too far out in the country where only visiting nurses can assist you. Life does give us opportunities and it is up to us to reasonably assess them and see if they are wise or foolish.

I remember umpteen years ago the beginning of the yellow happy faces. They were everywhere and still are. Walmart uses it or did as its messaging board. Happy faces are placed after signatures, bills, graded papers and just about everything. But, there is a darker side to the happy faces, America is losing its happiness. Countries are ranked in their happiness quotient and America keeps falling in the category of happiness. We also keep losing in the life expectancy area. In the last three years we have dropped in life expectancy. Cheerful thought!

Years ago I read a very important book by Michio Kushi titled “The Book of Macrobiotics–The Universal Way of Health, Happiness and Peace”. I thought it would be a book on eating a Macrobiotic diet but it was so much more. I highly recommend this book for its great wisdom and unknown information on how the body and environment work. I turn to this book to remind myself of how disease begins.

Just as 2 tectonic plates rub up against each other, two ages are pushes against each other. One of these is the future force and the other the past. One of the plates is the old Piscean Age that is passing and the other the Aquarian Age that is coming into the present and will stay with us for 2,000 years. The old force, the Piscean Age, is struggling to stay alive but its’ struggle is creating the big shift to the new Aquarian Age. Along with this old Piscean Age goes the characteristics of this age. It has served its purpose and helped us along for about 2,000 years. Many years ago when I was around 20 or so I remember reading the National Geographic magazine. It was special back then and had great photos from around the world. There was a story about a woman gathering rice in a rice paddy of Southeast Asia. I remember the journalist asking this woman if she was happy. Now the woman lived in a native hut made from local trees. Her life had no running water or any of the conveniences we take for granted. The journalist noted the puzzled look on her face when he asked her this question. She answered that being happy was something that happened between the time you were born and the time you died. Did you know that the greatest gift given to you here on earth was the gift of life? Life itself was always the present. The rest of the experience here is what you choose to do with it. You can abuse it, waste it, invest it, love it, cherish it, be fascinated by it, indulge it, curse it or just wait it out until you can get out of it. Whatever you choose, it will be yours to do. The two main lessons we are to learn here on the earth plain are “freewill choice and emotional energy”. Everything we do here is instructing us that we have free will even if imprisoned. Our mind is the guidance system for it all. What a trip! This is where we make up karma–in the mind. What does a Universal Year mean? It is simply the current year, 2019, reduced to the single digit by adding the numbers together. We are, therefore, in a number 3 universal year. Goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019. I do hope you have created some goals or plans for yourself. Nothing that is too hard or ridiculous to achieve. It can be helpful to write out a plan for the next 90 days. Things work naturally in 3’s.

It has been hard to miss the legal show going on this past week with Micheal Dean Cohen, also known as Trump’s former attack dog. What a fall from grace! Who is this person who adored Trump, would take a bullet for him and lost himself along the way? Was he really so easily seduced by notoriety and money? The answer to that question would be yes, he would and was. We normally think of getting our own house in order when we expect guests or we might be in the transition period of a move. It can mean a physical house or a mental/emotional house. We work better and smarter when our house is in order. This can also be applied to the Big House (not prison) but the House of Representatives. As America continues to travel through a “death and transformation period” with Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Capricorn, she has to work on getting her own House in order. This is not what I call a fun time or a funny time. It is a serious time and a time for a reality check. You can expect this getting- your-house-in-order period to continue in earnest for the next two years. With the recent election we can see definitely a different direction and focus going forward. Hopefully, for the better.
