We Are Just Visitors Here

We keep relying on this place, planet earth, to come through for us. Sometimes it does and sometimes it just won’t or can’t. I remind myself and others that we can use this world, level of existence or plane of existence but we can’t depend upon it. It is man-made. Of course, not the planet itself, but the life living upon it. We still think we can control it. Man-made laws, rules and customs are always changing. We bought lots of tech stocks at inflated prices expecting them to just keep going up. When the reversal came this year, people hung on waiting for them to behave as before. People think they are in control. They can rely on that pension, that 401K fund, the equity in their house, the crops, the tourist industry or whatever industry. All you can do here is use the time as wisely as possible and learn how to manage yourself and your emotions.

For most of us as, we age out of here, is the fear of losing our mind, becoming dependent on others to take care of us or becoming trapped in our own bodies. We know how we got in here but we don’t know how we get out. We would rather not think about it so we stay distracted and unprepared. The reality is we should always be prepared to leave. Even though we may be only in our 30’s, 40’s, 50’s we could leave at any moment. Just like a visitor, we have to go back home and sometimes we do it sooner than later. Just this week I heard of a friend of my son’s who died instantly in an auto accident, another due to severe depression, shot himself. My doctor’s wife has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. All of them are barely middle age. How about all the students shot at schools or the parade this July 4th. Man-made mental support and better gun regulations probably could have prevented some of these shootings but, again, it is man-made and subject to man-made laws not universal laws.

Human beings are here to learn two basic lessons, make wise choices and choose again when necessary and process emotional energy. In short, manage your emotions. We didn’t come here to shoot each other, step over homeless people, chose one religion over another, humiliate, shame and kill those you don’t like, be corrupt, greedy and hypocritical. The list, unfortunately, is too long. We do not see our shared humanity. We forget to be kind and gracious. We need to be right (even when we know we are wrong). We become stubborn and take up space.

The interesting thought is that Mother Earth knows how to get rid of her drones. Drones in this instance are those who keep reincarnating here but don’t grow. They take up space and don’t add to humanity’s growth. Mother Earth creates pandemics, (takes people home quickly), floods (cleans out negativity), fires (cleans out negativity), droughts (makes humans constantly be on the move). Earthquakes and volcanoes are also additional ways she cleans up the place. She can sink the place if necessary getting rid of all of us. We keep trying to control the climate while we pollute it more. The law of “unintended consequences” is now in play. We are overweight from not taking better care of the body. We are toxic and reach for quick cures and elixirs. We don’t age well and our life expectancy is decreasing. We are doing to ourselves what we have done to the earth.

The Earth is a stunningly beautiful place but for the last few hundred years we have abused her and used her and thought we could control her. We are in this world of earth and matter but we are not of this world. Once we really understand this, we can have the inner peace we all crave. People will tell you they want to be happy but what they really want, deep down, is to be at peace with the self and life. For most people they never achieved what they really wanted to do in life. They bought into society’s pathway. They didn’t think they even had a blueprint or special timing. That is why it is so helpful to understand numerology and the timing for one’s life. So many people I speak with have no specific plans for ages 60 to 90. They plan on retirement and maybe start doing what they wanted to do their entire lives. It’s interesting to watch.

As we travel through these anxious times with hyper-religious virtues and loud noises from loud people, we might confuse this all as our permanent state of being. It isn’t. All of this will change as it always does. If something gets to extreme, the law of unintended consequences steps in and makes the corrections. When the seesaw gets too heavy on one side, someone comes along and pushes down the other side.

My advice, for what it is worth, is to develop a very strong faith in the invisible world and depend upon it for your needs. Let it know what you want and let it figure out the how. We all concentrate on the “how” and what we needed to concentrate on was the “what”. This is our biggest mistake. We were always to concentrate and get clear on the what, not the how. People will remark I “just don’t know how to do _____”

Focus on developing your rich inner connections. Stop begging. Expect Divine assistance and remember you will go home one day. You are just a tourist here. To be reminded of the power of this invisible world, take a look at the photos from the Webb telescope. We haven’t a clue of the power that works with us.

In a sentence or two, it is other levels of consciousness. As we evolve, we move to other “planes” of consciousness. This plane, earth, requires a physical body to operate. We become extremely attached to it and all things earthly. We learn particular general lessons here but it is not our natural home.

Indeed. Mother Earth has an immune system and she is purging what causes her sickness (i.e., humans). Thanks for the reminder to keep developing faith in the invisible world for our needs.

Thank you for this reminder, Gail. It’s too easy to get caught up in the chaos. Focusing on the present moment and tapping into our connection with what I call the Divine is the way to peace.
