The Ending and Transformation of an Empire

I have been studying the effects of the Pluto transit, the big one for the United States. For those of you who pay no attention to the heavenly cycles, you do so at your own peril. This transit cannot be avoided and has already been in the prepping and dress rehearsal for the last two years. About the time of the Covid pandemic. All of us have been affected by it but in various stages of suffering. This event of a Pluto Return happens every 248 years and this is the first time you and I have been experiencing it. It will be exact in two years but it lingers afterwards. It takes us back to the exact time we began as a nation.

Empires are wiped out and end or begin as a different empire when this transit occurs. We need to be ready for these events to take place. We have already experienced the setup through the Covid. Covid’s role was to wake us up. We have been asleep unaware of what we need to do change and improve conditions–even if some of the old systems die away. There is an interesting book “The Fate of Empires” 1976 (and yes, the US is an empire) written by Sir John Glubb. He speaks to the phases an empire goes through from birth to death. His book in readable on line. You will note that so many of the empires that have gone before ours have ended in an approximate a 250 cycle and this man is not an astrologer or astronomer. He is more or less an historian. Here are the phases:

Phase 1 Great burst of energy period. This is where we have the pioneers and we develop the nation.

Phase 2 The conquest phase where we build an army, soldiers and conquer other nations or at least scare them.

Phase 3 The Commerce phase. This is where we have the merchant and business class. Affluence rises, businesses become successful and the control of natural resources and exploitation of other nations takes place.

Phase 4 Phase of the Intellectual. This is where universities are built and higher learning is important. We develop experts.

Phase 5 Phase of Decadence. This is where religions weaken, pessimism increases, materialism and selfishness increases, welfare state is strong, people have no sense of purpose or duty, greediness, influx of foreigners, defensiveness increases as well as frivolity and indulgences. Citizens concentrate on celebrities and actors.

Phase 6 Decline and collapse. This is the phase where actors (politicians) act out the parts. They give the Empire away. (Note how there is now a reaction to globalism and the realization we have given China our technology and taught them how to make “things”.)

So we will have to decide do we want to save this nation and transform it or let it continue in Phases 5 and 6. Can we come out of our dream state of illusions and wake up?

As an example of actors and politicians, why do men want to become Presidents? Do you think its for the salary and the chance to live in the White House? Just two days ago there was a fascinating article on what happens to Presidents when they leave office. It is written by Jonah Goldberg in the Los Angeles Times. He tells us what the last 5 presidents have been doing since they “sacrificed themselves for us to run the country.” Here are just a few tidbits:

Donald Trump holding $30,000 a head fundraisers and pocketing the money, performing for arena crowds with Bill OReilly at $100 a ticket, $50 for a MAGA hat and $95 for a Mar-a-Lago Christmas ornament in his Trump merchandise store.

Before Trump, the presidency had become a stepping stone to enormous “beyond-the-pale” riches. Some us still think the presidency as a lonely, burdensome public service undertaken selflessly for the good of the country. Of course, we have had many rich presidents. Even George Washington had a 500 acre plantation, 50,000 acres of property, hundreds of enslaved people and a 21 room mansion.

Gerald Ford was the first president to take fees for his talks. It has taken off from there and really gotten out of hand. It is now quite obscene and the people are beginning to wake up to this. Bill Clinton took $500,000 for a single speech in Russia. Between Bill and Hillary reportedly earned $153 million in speaking fees between 2001 and 2015. If you add books, consulting fees and the like, they brought in $240 million during those years (according to a separate analysis by Forbes.)

The Obamas are doing very well too. He received $400,000 for a speech to the financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald just months after leaving office. Who knows how many speeches like that he has given each year. Both he and Michelle “reportedly” received a $65 million advance for a two-book deal with Penguin Random House.

In 2019 he bought his 6,892 sq. foot Martha’s Vineyard house on a 29 acre estate for $12 million. It’s a getaway from his $8 million, nine bedroom house in Washington.

It goes on. Even George Bush summed up his Post Presidential life by telling an interviewer that his plan for the future was to “replenish the ol’ coffers,” noting he could make some serious money on the speaking tours.

Jonah Goldberg asks the question, what’s the problem here? He states that “well for one thing, you and I the taxpayer are paying each of the 5 living presidents more than $200,000 a year in pensions for the REST OF THEIR LIVES. Plus we foot the bill for their office space, $1,000,000 travel expenses and lifetime secret service protection and other benefits. Why do we do this?

Do we question anything? Why are Moscow banks and firms such as Cantor Fitzgerald and other zillionaires (like Jeffrey Epstein) willing to “purchase” a presidential association at such high prices? What’s in it for them?

Does this bother you or get under your skin that the Presidency can be exploited and commercialized? In an age of ugly income inequality, it sends a depressing message.

To read Goldberg’s full article, Los Angeles Times, February 21 2022 “How the White House became the path to obscene riches for ex-presidents.” Going back to the final phase of an empire, the decline and collapse, politicians (actors) act out their parts and give the empire away. I have been told that in Washington there are 4 lobbyists for each member of Congress. Who lobbies for the people? No wonder we have this disconnect and illusions going on. The people are waking up. The nation will be changed once Pluto is done with us.

Build your spiritual life during this period so you can relieve your fears and anxieties. We all long for union. The Soul gives you your vision and it helps you develop your understanding. The person who tells you that they don’t believe in anything is miserable. Most people are afraid to develop this part of themselves but it is their essence. You will feel so much better and will be a better human being if you uncover the destiny of the Soul. Especially during the years ahead. They are challenging years but we need not be complacent. American needs transformative people who can return the nation to “we the people”. Let us hope we don’t become another example in Sir John Glubb’s book, “The Fate of Empires.”

So much of what’s posted here is on Gaia, a show my husband and I watch faithfully. Yes, people are awakening and the catalyst was Covid! Very good read. Tx

America is an empire and in its 5th and 6th stages of development. It has to transform or sputter out.

    Hi Heather,
I don’t trust his birth information. I believe he is super smart and with a detective mind. I don’t see him releasing his actual birth information to the public. He lies about so much. Nothing would surprise me that all his birth information is a facade.

We are in it now and it ends by the end of 2024. However, the effects from it can go on for years. It is doing its job.

Clarification, please. The Pluto transit is near an end? Or still two years out? Thanks.

    Hello Gail,

Thank you for this article on the fate of the U.S. and the world. I totally agree and am working vigoriously on my spirituality. I know we are heading into more turbulent times and I want to help those who will be needing my services. My best to you and your family.

Jonah conveniently steers away from Jimmy Carter doesn’t he?
    Also the Clintons…
…yet I’ll just bet his criticism of POTUS, seems awfully late in coming…

Sad and yet beautiful article, Gail. You write with so much understanding and passion. One of the ugliest and saddest things is – how many lives do have to get lost until finally the message is received and people are ready to change? On the other hand: each of us can be a domino, and if one moves, all the others have to react – sooner or later. Much Love to you.

Recession of democracy is evident everywhere
Any thoughts on will we survive ?
    Will the world survive ?
