In his book, “It Can’t Happen Here” (1935), Sinclair Lewis wrote, “When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying the cross.”

I think this quote can also be attributed to Huey Long or Lewis but it has been around for awhile. It will be for each of us to decide where America stands on whether fascism is coming to America or is already here. One of the most important responsibilities of a citizen is to thoughtfully observe and decide whether the leaders elected by the citizens are wisely supporting democracy or weakening individual rights. Are they paying attention to the citizens’ needs and true to the American dream? America’s purpose in 1776 was to usher in the Aquarian Age and become the beacon for the individual and assimilation of the masses. It is up to us to judge them. Are we progressing or regressing?…
