No one is very accurate in predicting the future but there are signs and signals that provide an idea of the process for the 10 remaining months ahead. January and February are always considered the sleeper months, especially January. We are all waking up from the prior year and the Northern Hemisphere arrives in the new year in a darker, colder environment. Once we reach the third month, March, we are ready for the roll out of 2026. It has the invisible hand of the number 3 working behind the scene. The months of one, January and two, February are now uniting to create the third month of March. The ready, get set, go month. We can launch now. The days are getting lighter and will get warmer moving forward.
The first half of the year is a very different entity than the 2nd half of the year. You now will see the result of the disruptions and destructions of 2025 as we continue forward with the reinvention of the United States. We watched in 2025, the destruction of an 80 year cycle. We experienced destructions of many of our institutions, our social mores, our financial uncertainties and our economic realities. Our agencies, our military, our way of governing, our religious beliefs, our rights, our workforce, immigration, our foreign trade and relationships, our debt, our quality of life, our opportunities and more were all included. Everything is touched. We still are not ready to reinvent ourselves. We must go through more.
We are out of the shock and awe phase of destruction. That was 2025. We now take a better look this year at what has happened and what are we willing to tolerate and change. Things had to change. Saying that, however, there is constructive change and destructive change. 2025 was the destructive change. 2026 is the very beginning of a more constructive change. The pieces are all there but how do we want them to go back together. Do we want a country led mainly by “executive order”? What do we need to do to bring Congress back to life. What should the citizens do to create the legislature that works for the people? How can term limits be implemented? What changes need to be changed for elections. How can the country be less polarized. How can the society engage in more civic responsibility. It’s not easy.
Remember, primaries will be mainly done by May and June. The power of using the primary as a weapon will be over by July. The second half of the year loosens the power of the presidency and is now concentrated on Congress getting re-elected. It will become a focus on pleasing the potential voters and not going along with damaging behavior that risks loosing in November. So when you think more about it, you could come to the conclusion that the most powerful months of this presidency will be now through June with a continued weakening in June and July. That means only 3 months of this year for the Executive branch to push through its’ agenda. You are already seeing the big illegal push of tariffs acting as a self-imposed wound to the Executive in the upcoming elections. Ignoring rising prices to the consumer in all areas of the economy is also a self-imposed wound. It is obvious to everyone that prices for goods and services have deeply impacted the citizenry. To ignore this is fool hearty.
We will be creating pushback and fear in the Congressional branch once summer comes. They realize in order to stay in power, they must get re-elected and fear of the public is stronger than fear of the Executive branch. So from July through November the re-invention begins. If the Democrats take back the House of Representatives, the leadership of the Executive branch is greatly diminished. You will then see the rise of the balance of power. This allows for the blocking and stopping as well as creating new laws that stay on the books. It is actually the beginning of the end of this Executive branch. That, in turn, allows for the continual creation of new entities, new laws, corrections etc. Real change won’t occur until this disruptive phase completely ends by 2029. We will have learned how policies created from 2024 need remodeling, such as immigration, healthcare, reducing the debt, relationship with allies etc. We will come out of the Actor, Performing, Hair Extension, Fox resume cabinet to a more experienced support base–but not until the election of 2028. Remember, this Executive Branch was put in place to disrupt and change an old order. It has done the deed. It needs to pay attention to the vibe of the electorate and realize that 2026 is a different energy altogether and to stop digging a hold deeper when citizens have already yelled STOP.
