If countries are smart, they will replenish their young populations with immigration. Of course, domestic political reluctance can be overcome but it is only a stop-gap measure. Even Africa’s population is falling at an accelerated pace. In 1990 the average African woman was expected to have 6 children. Today that is down to 4 and the drop is accelerating.
