Born on a 4 day–America’s Gifting of Talent

Since we are about to celebrate America’s birthday this month, I thought I would mention the importance of America’s day of women business ownersbirth and how it shapes her personality.  The day we are born (from 1 to 31) reveals specific abilities and talents we possess.  It is considered in numerology to be one our 5 core numbers (the life path, destiny, soul, personality and talent).  The day we are born is a gift that will help us on our way of living the life we were born to live.

With America being born on a 4 day (July 4, 1776), she came into this world as a hard working and conscientious country.  Four is the number of work, discipline, principle, responsibility, pride, compassion for people and perseverance in the face of adversity. It is consider the rock but stubborn as well.  There is a focus on the foundations of life and …

8 More Years of Constructive Destruction

I adore simple pleasures.  They are the last refuge of the complex.”   Oscar Wilde, Irish genius.

As we continue during this upheaval that began November of 2008, we almost embrace the simple pleasures.  We reminisce of

the days when there were less regulations, when children created their own play dates and organized games and when adults couldn’t be reached 24/7.  We didn’t know we had to manage ourselves.  We relied on outside institutions to protect us–the government, our  insurance firms, our employers, our pensions, even our religious communities.  As we have learned, all of our institutions are being deconstructed.  Even our bread makers and ice cream makers are now artisanal and double the price.  I heard the Good Humor trucks are returning to the streets.  I thought, wow, they are back and I can hear that old sound of the ice cream man.  Nope, you have to have an …

Dignity and Grace in the Face of Your Fears

There is so much fear going around that it looks somewhat like a common cold.  Everybody catches one sooner or later.

Fear itself is the old teaching tool of the dying Piscean Age.  This was the Age ushered in around 2,200 years ago …

Remembering Kyle Minogue Edlund

In Honor of Kyle Minogue Edlund, November 26, 1964 – May 10, 20015

“Sometime ago, I was given a treasure to guard and now the owner has wanted it back.”

Beruriah to her husband Rabbi Meir in telling her husband that their son is dead.

Kyle Minogue Edlund

Dear Friends,

I haven’t been actively connecting outward for several months.  People have written me and wondered why I wasn’t doing my newsletter any more.  My heart just wasn’t in it.  For the past 18 months, I have been living with my son, Kyle’s, kidney cancer.  From diagnosis to death it was exactly 18 months and 2 days.  He was on his way to Lego Land when he started to have symptoms.  We all had no idea that when diagnosed, it had already spread and he was at stage 4 from the get go.

This part of the journey with Kyle is complete.  He …
